Who We ServeWelcome to A Mighty Change of Heart, where we are on a mission to make a profound difference in the lives of foster children and kinship children in the state of Arizona. With over 15,500 children currently in the foster care system and more joining every day, the need for support and resources has never been greater. While many dedicated foster parents open their hearts and homes to these children, the challenges they face due to limited state support and resources can be overwhelming. Often, when a child enters the system, they carry with them very little, if anything, in terms of worldly possessions, placing a heavy financial burden on foster families. This is where A Mighty Change of Heart steps in to provide hope and assistance. |
How We ServeWhy We Are Needed: The foster care system in Arizona is home to thousands of children who have faced adversity and upheaval in their young lives. When they enter the system, they often lack even the most basic necessities, from clothing and school supplies to personal items that provide comfort and security. At the same time, dedicated foster families are asked to provide not just love and care but also financial support to meet these needs. The Financial Strain: The financial strain on foster families is a significant concern. Many of these families are already stretched thin, and the additional costs associated with caring for a new child can create immense pressure. A Mighty Change of Heart recognizes that no child should face uncertainty and instability during a time of transition. We believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and stable environment, and financial constraints should not stand in the way of achieving this goal. How We Make a Difference: A Mighty Change of Heart steps in to bridge the gap between limited state support and the needs of foster and kinship children. We provide essential resources, including clothing, school supplies, hygiene products, and personal items, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to start anew with dignity and hope. |

Now settled in Arizona, they are eager to support A Mighty Change of Heart Arizona (AMCHAZ) in their mission to help children in need. Our Beginnings
Meet the passionate founders of our organization, Jeff and Tiffany Yates, who have five children of their own and have plans to foster in the future. Jeff's upbringing in a home that offered emergency foster care for infants and newborns, many of whom arrived with challenging issues such as drug addictions and injuries, deeply influenced his perspective and ignited his commitment to make a difference. Their unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in kickstarting our incredible journey to assist foster children, and we express our heartfelt gratitude to Jeff and Tiffany Yates for their pivotal role in shaping our organization. While Jeff and Tiffany may not be actively involved with AMCHAZ at present, their initial dedication and tireless efforts were foundational in building what we have become today. Their commitment and the incredible support they provided during the first three years of our organization's existence are a testament to their unwavering dedication. In addition to the remarkable contributions of Jeff and Tiffany, we also acknowledge Jamie Dial, the first addition to our team. Jamie played a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mission, from filling bags with essentials to hand-delivering them all over the valley, and even beyond. Her dedication and tireless efforts are indispensable to our cause, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without her. Together, these incredible individuals exemplify the spirit of A Mighty Change of Heart, demonstrating that it takes a collective effort of passionate and dedicated individuals to bring about transformative change in the lives of foster children. |
